Feliz Lunes! (Happy Monday!)
A little over one month has passed since my last blog post,
and to no surprise a lot has happened since then! One of those being that it's finally Brewers season! There are only 18 days left of my sophomore year of
college and 29 days remain until I arrive in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
with other college students from around the mid-west! I wanted to give a little update on what has
happened in the past month regarding the journeys of life!
The second weekend of April I ventured to the western side
of Wisconsin with some lovely ladies to visit friends in Eau Claire and
Menomonie! The weekend was filled with
many giggles and a few inches of snow!
BUT, this coming weekend is looking promising weather-wise for all of
you who have spring fever as bad as I do.
Let’s hope that we make it to 70 degrees before May! That would be simply glorious. I am beyond thankful for the friendships that
I have built throughout college thus far and that I was able to visit all of my
friends that weekend!
This last weekend students from CRU attended a leadership retreat
in Appleton, Wisconsin! This was a time
of community and learning how to grow in our leadership qualities as Fall of
2013 is quickly approaching and a group of new students will soon arrive on
campus at UWO. I learned a lot of useful
knowledge throughout the weekend about “filling in the gaps” of other people
and discovering hidden talents that we all have! As I look ahead to this summer and my junior
year of college which is fastly approaching, I am beginning to visualize how leadership
is so vitally important in order to have an impact on the world surrounding us
and to be confident that we have been equipped with every tool we need to
utilize in order to successfully lead others. Win. Build. Send.
I have faith that during this next month, God will provide
the remaining support that I have left to raise because he is able! Please continue to keep the students, staff
members, and I in your thoughts and prayers throughout the coming months as many
of us take giant leaps of faith! My
friends and I will be road-tripping it together down to NMB, so please pray for
safe travels and nice weather as well!
If any of you reading this would like to receive weekly updates during
my time in NMB, please send me an email at jennabill10@gmail.com so I can add
you to my email list! I will continue to
update my blog before, during, and after project because I enjoy involving
others in my life!
Love,
Jenna
Friendsies!
